Kinetic Chain Release

Experience Kinetic Chain Release (KCR) in Edinburgh

What is Kinetic Chain Release?

Kinetic Chain Release (KCR) is a sequence of joint mobilisation and muscle stretches designed to alleviate postural imbalances, pain and improve your overall wellbeing.

KCR was developed by Scottish physiotherapist Hugh Gilbert, who identified that most people have a skeletal imbalance. Over time, this leads to problems that cause pain or discomfort. By treating this imbalance with a sequence of joint mobilisation and stretches the body can begin to heal.

What to expect during your treatment

You will remain fully clothed and I will ask you to lie or sit on my massage table. I will then lead you through the KCR joint mobilisation and muscle stretches. A treatment lasts 45-60 mins. At your first session you will be asked to complete a simple intake form.

Who benefits from KCR?

Many people experience rapid relief with this ground breaking protocol and clients present with a variety of symptoms eg. back pain, strains and sprains, pelvic and shoulder problems, elbow and wrist problems, carpal tunnel syndrome, PTSD, plantar fascitis, fybromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, headaches, irritable bowel syndrome.
